Troubleshooting Webcam and BCC Service Issues

Affected Products:

BCC Service (v2.7.1.10796, v2.8.4.10802)

 

Issues Description:

  • Webcam:
    • Error when cropping or processing photos.
  • BCC Service:
    • The BCC Service window does not open.
    • When starting the camera, an error image appears saying the camera was not recognized.
    • When capturing the image, an error message appears in the console.

 

Solution:

  1. Clean the Temporary Folders: In many cases, webcam and BCC Service issues may be caused by corrupted temporary files. To clean the temporary folders:

    1. Access the client machine.
    2. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
    3. Type %temp% and press Enter.
    4. Select all files and folders in the opened folder and delete them.

  2. Restart BCC Service: Restart BCC Service or ask the client to do so to ensure there are no stuck processes.

NOTE
: If cleaning the temporary folders and restarting BCC Service doesn't solve the issue, it may be necessary to investigate further issues with the webcam or BCC Service.
