How to Install Zadig

Description:

To use a Canon PowerShot SX520HS and other PowerShot camera models, it is necessary to install a specific driver, which is included in the Zadig package.

 

Solution:

  1. Connect a Canon PowerShot camera to the computer and turn on the camera.

  2. If the Zadig file provided by Griaule is a .zip or .rar, extract it right-clicking it and choosing Extract Here:

  3. Double-click on the Zadig .exe file:

  4. Then click Yes in the User Account Control dialog:

  5. Zadig will open:

  6. Click on Options and choose List All Devices:

  7. In the dropdown menu, make sure that Canon Digital Camera is selected. Otherwise, the installation may replace drivers from another device. DO NOT click "Replace Driver" yet.

  8. Then, change the driver by clicking on the arrow pointing down:

  9. Choose libusbK (v3.0.7.0) and click on Replace Driver:

    After installation finishes, close Zadig and open BCC. The user should now be able to use the Canon PowerShot camera.
